Fat and Not Afraid

Welcome to the entrance of my Discovery Toys home based-business.

Back in the Spring I had the pleasure of working on a large multi-cultural festival here in my home town and it got me connected with a lot of interesting people.  One of them, Joelle, was demonstrating her home business, Discovery Toys, which I quickly fell in love with while we chatted about the importance of solidly made, built for learning, toys.  I held a party here, liked the toys and company so much that I decided to take the plunge and become an Educational Consultant too!

Now that I'm moved into our new home in Nanaimo, I'm ready to really get this off the ground and be successful. The Discovery Toys line is full of well made, guaranteed-for-life toys for kids from the cradle to well into the later grades of elementary school.  All of them are geared to grow with the child, 90% of them aren't gendered in any way, most of them suit kids with varied learning styles (auditory, oral or hands on learners), but most of all? They're just freakin' fun to play with!   If I were a teacher today instead of a blogger there are quite a few of these I'd be putting in my classroom.
